The answer depends on the records, rights, contracts, people, jurisdiction and proposed uses. No general directory can approve a particular transaction.
Build an issues list
Identify personal information, client restrictions, privilege, copyrighted material, regulated records and confidential business information. Map them to the proposed license.
Get transaction-specific review
Ask qualified counsel to evaluate authority, disclosures, required permissions, transfer rules and contractual safeguards before releasing records.
What to record before deciding
Keep the written scope, official provider source, unresolved questions and the person responsible for each check. Treat a marketing claim as a claim until it is reflected in the agreement. A directory entry does not approve the transaction or establish your rights to share the records.
